Our journey began early in the morning as we arrived at Kota Kinabalu International Airport at approximately 8:40 a.m., just as expected. Upon arrival, we were relieved to see our driver already waiting for us, which made the transition from flight to road travel smooth and effortless. Without spending time exploring Kota Kinabalu, we decided to begin our journey immediately and head straight towards our main destination—Kundasang.

The drive from Tamparuli to Kundasang took approximately one hour and thirty minutes. We traveled uphill in a comfortable Toyota Innova, gradually leaving the coastal heat behind as the air grew cooler and fresher. The winding roads offered breathtaking views throughout the journey. Along the way, there were countless scenic spots worth stopping for—lush greenery, rolling hills, and glimpses of the majestic Mount Kinabalu appearing in the distance. Each turn of the road revealed yet another picture-perfect moment, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination itself.

This trip turned out to be an unforgettable travel experience. Kundasang is truly a place filled with natural beauty and serene landscapes that are difficult to fully appreciate in just a single day. From the cool climate to the stunning views, every moment spent there felt refreshing and memorable. There are still so many places left unexplored, and it is clear that one visit is simply not enough to experience everything this charming destination has to offer.
