It’s still fresh in my memory—this was my very first time working with studio equipment. At the beginning, even just understanding the theory felt quite challenging. I found it difficult to fully grasp and adapt to the techniques, especially when it came to using strobe lights and flash properly. Everything seemed a bit overwhelming at first, and I wasn’t entirely confident navigating the technical side of things.
But over time, after several attempts and a lot of trial and error, things slowly started to make sense—finally, the knowledge stuck (haha). I realized that working with studio lighting really comes down to understanding how to control the power of the strobe and how it interacts with your camera settings. It’s important not to overlook the balance between shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, adjusting each according to the look you want to achieve. Using Manual mode is definitely recommended, as it gives you full control over the outcome. In the end, what once felt complicated gradually became an enjoyable learning process, and a rewarding one too.
